Magnitudle: Size It Up

Magnitudle: Size It Up is a visual estimation game based on comparing the real-world scale of two objects. Each round shows a fixed reference silhouette and a second silhouette that can be resized. The player must judge how large the target should be compared with the reference, adjust its scale, and lock in the answer. There is no story, characters, dialogue, or campaign. The game focuses entirely on visual size comparison and estimating proportions.

Comparing the Silhouettes

The reference object is displayed at a known size, while the target starts at a different scale. The player can move and resize the target until both objects appear correctly proportioned. Measurements stay hidden before submission, so the player cannot rely on exact numbers while making the estimate. After the answer is locked in, the game shows the real size, the submitted estimate, and the resulting score.

Rounds and Game Modes

Magnitudle: Size It Up does not use traditional levels. The main daily challenge contains five separate comparisons, and each round can award up to 100 points. The game also includes:

·         five shared daily Size It Up rounds;

·         Unlimited mode with randomly generated comparisons;

·         Geography challenges;

·         Pop Culture challenges;

·         an archive of previous daily puzzles;

·         score and streak tracking;

·         result sharing after a completed game.

The scoring system rewards estimates that are close to the correct proportion. A small difference still gives a relatively high score, while a target that is much too large or too small loses more points. The highest possible total for the standard five-round Size It Up challenge is 500 points. After every round, the correct silhouette is displayed alongside the player’s estimate, making it possible to see whether the error came from overestimating or underestimating the target.

How to Play

The main approach is to use the fixed silhouette as a visual measuring tool. Instead of trying to remember the target’s exact height or length, the player can estimate how many times larger or smaller it should be than the reference. The target can be repositioned and resized before submission, and zoom controls provide more room when dealing with very large differences in scale.

Magnitudle: Size It Up ends each daily session after five comparisons, but Unlimited mode allows the same mechanics to continue with additional random rounds. The basic loop remains unchanged in every version: compare two objects, resize the target, lock in the estimate, check the real scale, and continue to the next comparison.
