Horse Magnifier

Horse Magnifier is a visual puzzle game where the player changes a distorted horse image by moving magnifying lenses across it. Each level shows a target image on the left and the editable horse on the right. The objective is to position the lenses so the horse on the right matches the target as closely as possible. There is no traditional story, character progression, combat, or inventory system. The game is entirely based on observation, image distortion, and precise lens placement.

Moving the Magnifiers

The lenses do more than simply zoom in. Depending on their type and position, they can stretch, enlarge, compress, or otherwise change parts of the horse image. A small movement can alter the head, neck, legs, or body proportions, so the player often has to adjust the same lens several times. Later puzzles may use several lenses at once, making the image harder to control because changing one area can affect how the rest of the horse appears.

Levels and Puzzle Mechanics

The game is divided into separate visual puzzle stages. The Jam Edition includes at least 18 levels, while the expanded version contains more than 50. During play, the player needs to:

·         compare the target horse with the distorted version;

·         drag magnifying lenses across the image;

·         adjust their positions in small increments;

·         watch how each lens changes the horse;

·         use several lenses together in later stages;

·         match the overall silhouette and proportions;

·         complete one puzzle before moving to the next.

The difficulty comes from the way the lenses interact with the image. Fixing the size of the horse’s head may distort another nearby area, while correcting the body can change how the legs line up. Because of this, the player usually has to work from large shapes first and then make smaller corrections. Looking at the complete outline is often more useful than focusing on one body part for too long.

How to Play

Horse Magnifier is controlled by dragging the lenses with the mouse or touch input. The player moves them directly over different parts of the horse and compares the result with the target image shown alongside it. There are no enemies, timers, weapons, or resources to manage. Progress depends only on solving each visual arrangement.

The expanded version also includes different magnifier types and a level editor for creating custom puzzles. The central mechanic stays the same throughout the game: study the target, move the lenses, correct the horse’s distorted proportions, and continue adjusting until the image matches closely enough to complete the level.
