Vexle

Vexle is a daily geography game where the player receives the name of a country and has to recreate its flag from memory. There is no story, character progression, combat, or campaign. The main challenge is visual memory: remembering the colors, layout, stripes, symbols, and proportions of the flag well enough to draw it on a blank canvas. After the drawing is submitted, the game reveals the official flag and calculates a percentage score based on how closely the reconstruction matches it.

Drawing the Flag

The player works with a simple drawing interface rather than selecting answers from a quiz. Available tools include a brush, fill bucket, rectangle, circle, line, star, eraser, undo, and adjustable brush size. The main color regions matter most for scoring, while small emblems and fine details contribute less. This means that getting the stripe order, background colors, and overall composition correct is usually more important than reproducing every small symbol perfectly.

Modes and Features

Vexle includes several ways to use the same flag-based mechanics:

·         Daily mode with one shared country each day;

·         Practice mode with flags from around the world;

·         Vexle Infinite with repeated flag challenges;

·         Memory Flash, where the flag appears briefly before disappearing;

·         Build mode with six attempts to reconstruct a flag from regions;

·         Flag Quiz with multiple-choice identification;

·         Archive for previous daily challenges;

·         themed flag packs and country collections.

Build mode works differently from free drawing. Instead of sketching the flag, the player selects a layout and assigns colors to numbered regions. After each attempt, the game gives feedback showing whether a color is in the correct region, appears elsewhere on the flag, or is not used at all. The player gets six attempts to complete the design. Memory Flash adds another variation by briefly showing the real flag before asking the player to recreate it from memory.

Scoring and How to Play

In Draw mode, the final score mainly depends on color placement and layout. The scoring system weighs color most heavily, followed by the arrangement of the main regions, while small details such as stars or emblems contribute less. Hints can reveal outlines of important shapes without showing their colors, allowing the player to continue without directly seeing the answer.

To play Vexle, the player reads the country name, recalls its flag, fills the main color areas, adds stripes or symbols, and submits the drawing. The real flag then appears next to the player’s version with a percentage match. There are no traditional levels; progress comes from completing daily flags, practicing other countries, improving accuracy, and trying different modes built around drawing, remembering, or reconstructing flags.
