La Madriguera is a short physics puzzle built around one simple objective: get a piece of cake without leaving the chair. The player controls a seated character inside a small room and cannot walk toward the target normally. Instead, progress depends on manipulating nearby objects, using the character’s arm, and taking advantage of the physics system to bring the cake closer. There is no large story campaign, dialogue tree, or traditional level progression. The entire game revolves around solving this one situation.
Reaching the Cake
The room itself functions as the main puzzle. Furniture, tools, and other objects can be pushed, pulled, dragged, or repositioned to extend the player’s reach. A long fork or similar tool can be used to interact with objects that are too far away. The character remains seated throughout the challenge, so every solution has to work around this limitation rather than bypass it. Small changes in angle or force can affect how objects move because the game relies on physics.
Main Gameplay
The core actions include:
· moving the character’s arm with the mouse;
· grabbing or pushing nearby objects;
· dragging furniture closer;
· using a long tool to reach distant parts of the room;
· repositioning objects to create a path toward the cake;
· restarting the puzzle if the setup becomes unusable;
· experimenting with different physical solutions.
There is no inventory, combat, enemy system, or character upgrade tree. The challenge comes entirely from arranging the environment and controlling objects carefully enough to reach the target.
Because the objects react physically, the same action can produce slightly different results depending on speed, angle, and contact point. Pulling a table too hard can flip it, while a smaller movement may bring it closer without disturbing the rest of the setup. The player often has to stabilize one object before using it to move another. If the cake or an important tool ends up in a bad position, restarting may be faster than trying to recover the situation.
How to Complete the Puzzle
A practical approach is to work in small steps. First, bring useful furniture or tools within reach, then use them to extend the character’s effective range. Once the cake is close enough, the final task is to push, hook, or drag it toward the chair. There are no numbered levels in the original version described by the creator; the game is one compact puzzle scene. Success comes from understanding how the room’s objects interact and using the available physics to solve the single objective without standing up.
